Meet Emily

Named after nicknames for my two daughters, “Penny Pie” and “Evie Bear”, Piebear is all about family, flavor, and turning imagination into reality.

I’ve always loved to bake, and Piebear was born out of a family tradition. My mom worked in a bakery when she was younger, and every year she made us the most magical birthday cakes. For me, it was delicate frosting roses; for my brother, a chocolate-fenced farm made of confections. Those cakes weren’t just desserts - they became treasured childhood memories.

When I became a mom, I knew I wanted to continue that tradition for my own children. For Penny’s 2nd birthday, I made a rainbow cat cake that quickly became the star of the party. Friends and family told me I should turn my passion into a business - and that’s how Piebear came to life.

Today, I feel so lucky to bake and imagine new creations that help families in my community celebrate their own milestones. For me, it’s about more than cakes and cookies - it’s about carrying on a tradition of love, creativity, and sweet memories.
